Information!
Hard enamel pins are classed as the pinnacle of pin badges. A die is cut to your design and used to stamp the base metal in to your shape and design. The next part of the process is to plate the base metal with your choice of plating, solder on the fitting and then add the enamel colours. The enamel colours are fired the badge is then polished to give the badge a smooth finish.
Hard enamel pins differ from soft enamel pins as the metal parts of the badge are polished to create a smooth finish with the enamel parts of the badge. Whereas with soft enamel pins you can feel where the metal is raised and the recesses where the enamel sits.
