What is die struck enamel?
The most popular process of producing a bespoke pin badge. A die is cut to your design which is used to stamp the base metal into your shape and design. The next part of the process is to plate the base metal pin badge with your choice of plating. Popular options are gold or silver coloured plating however a full list can be found below. Once the plating and polishing is complete its time to add the soft enamel colour of which any colour is achievable including pantone matches. This sits in the recessed areas of the badge and gives a 3D finish where you can feel the raised and recessed areas of the design. This is the most popular finish however an epoxy domed covering can be applied if you prefer a totally smooth finish. All badges are supplied as standard with a butterfly clasp fitting. Other fittings are available such as a brooch (+7p each) – See fittings page for further details.
